Recreation Leader for Kramfors Youth Center

Kramfors Youth Center is centrally located and targets youth aged 11-18 with the aim of creating a meaningful leisure time for this group, both at and outside the youth center. We are now looking for someone to work as a recreation leader with us.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a recreation leader, you will work together with other recreation leaders in the open leisure activities to create a meaningful leisure time for young people. You inspire and challenge the youth to realize their ideas and support them in their interests and participation in the activities at the youth center. You will also showcase the range of activities available in Kramfors and its surroundings. In addition to working in the open activities, you will also go on excursions and arrange holiday activities.

Your work includes collaborating with external actors such as schools and other organizations. Together with young people and other recreation leaders, you will plan and implement leisure activities with a particular focus on open activities, group activities, and outreach work. You have a natural coaching and supportive approach and work to strengthen young people's participation, influence, and engagement. A good and relationship-building contact with guardians, police, social services, and other safety nets for youth is an important part of your role.

Your work also includes administrative tasks and handling social media. Your working hours are scheduled during the day, evening, and weekends, and in some cases, work may also occur outside your regular workplace.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for trained recreation leaders or those with equivalent education that the employer deems comparable. We consider it an advantage if you have previous experience working with children and youth, including volunteer engagements. Knowledge of norm criticism, gender equality, and participation is also appreciated.

We view it positively if you have experience and/or knowledge of coaching and motivational conversations. You enjoy working in a varied and flexible environment where you need to be solution-focused and proactive.

As a person, you are creative, enthusiastic, positive, affirming, attentive, and engaged. You encourage young people's ideas and possess the patience and drive required to support the realization of these ideas. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Good knowledge of the Swedish language is a requirement; if you are multilingual, we see this as an advantage. A B driver's license is required.
